'The story behind this year's Summer Camps
Tycoon Melon Musk is recruiting the best engineers to send on a secret mission. After a grueling selection process, only 20 incredibly smart engineers remain... but Mr. Must only needs to hire 10 of them. This is his plan: he is going to divide the 20 engineers into two teams, each team is going to build an escape room having to overcome the escape room of the opposing team. The contestants will use robotics, video game programming, 3D printers and many other tools so that the opponents do not manage to overcome their escape room.
Mr Musk has discovered a planet far away in our galaxy. This new planet could be habitable by humans, but it takes a team of intrepid engineers to travel there and fix a tower that produces oxygen.
The planet is full of mysterious creatures and yet unknown dangers.
The Summer Camps designed by the galactIQ Academy team will be full of learning but above all they will be very, very fun. In the first summer camp (morning shift, Monday through Friday) the participants will learn to use 3D printers, design in 3D, create robots, video games and much more.
In the second summer camp (afternoon shift, from Monday to Friday) the participants will learn to create a robot with Arduino, to hack everyday objects or to solve difficult challenges.
The camps will include water, lemonade and fruit. Kids will have to bring their own snacks or sandwiches. The organisers will also provide badges for each participant.
'The Great Escape' Summer Camp
4 hours/day, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. (Price includes BTW)
€299 per participant.
'Guardians of the Galaxy' Summer Camp.
3 hours/day, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. (Price includes BTW)
€239 per participant.
In Maastricht we organise two weeks of Summer Camps: from 18th to 22rd of July and from 25th to 29th of July. The event will take place at Qeske Maastricht. Address: François de Veyestraat 8B, 6221 AB.
Our Summer Camps are probably the best and most fun Coding & Robotics camps in The Netherlands! Once you try them, you can't miss any of them! Join us now!, spots are limited.
Participants must be between 5 and 13 years old. Our teachers will distribute the children according to their ages.
At each event, there will be at least two galactIQ teachers who will continuously attend the participants to the summer camps.
Participants must arrive and be picked up on time, parents need to be punctual at both times of the day.
If a participant has concentration problems or a learning disability, this must be communicated via email to firstname.lastname@example.org before signing up. We always try to accept all children regardless of the learning disability they have, but if a child requires extraordinary attention we would have to calculate the cost of dedicating one teacher to this participant with the proportional increase in the fee.
The subscription amount will only be refunded when one of these conditions are met and always before the event has started:
+ Illness (with medical certificate).
+ Major cause.
No money will be returned if the child must miss a day or more for other reasons.
In the fourth edition of our famous Summer Camps, we have prepared two new concepts of robotics and coding challenges:
1- 'The Great Escape' Summer Camp
[2 camps: 18-22 July & 25-29 July, Monday-Friday 9:00 - 13:00]
Billionaire Melon Musk has created a challenge in order to recruit the best young engineers. This is his plan: he is going to create two teams of engineers and inventors, each team is going to build an escape room having to overcome the escape room of the opposing team. The contestants will use robotics, video game programming, 3D printers and many other tools so that the opponents can’t manage to overcome their escape room. Do you think you have what it takes?
2- 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Summer Camp
[2 camps: 18-22 July & 25-29 July, Monday-Friday 14:00 - 17:00]
Year 2022, tycoon Melon Musk has recruited the best engineers to complete an important mission: travel to a new planet and fix an oxigen tower so that us humans, can live there. For this mission, 20 brave young engineers will embark in a mission where they will face complicated challenges, learn real robotics, program computers and so much more. This summer camp is the ultimate coding & robotics adventure, join the mission now and be ready to become a hero!
Diplomas & Prizes
As always, participants will get the ICANCODE / galactIQ certificate showing the level of programming acquired this year. The participants who do the best work will also win the grand prize of the camp.
